XSL-FO, CSS and Paged Output – hosted by Antenna House
Room RB211 at 10:30–12:00 on February 8 – hosted by Antenna House (Michael Miller and Tony Graham)
Producing formatted pages continues to still be important to many of us. In this Unconference Day session, we’ll provide a brief update on Antenna House activities and how we see the changing landscape of page formatting from XSL-FO to CSS. Then the session will be opened for you to share your interesting challenges and solutions for producing paged media output using XSL-FO or CSS.
This also is an opportunity to brainstorm with the assembled about a challenge you’re facing and are trying to solve.
If you have an interesting example to share, please get in touch with Michael Miller mike@antennahouse.com.
As with last year, we want this session to address what you are interested in. Give us your comments! You can add a comment here or contact us directly.
The following are possible topics. The exact makeup will depend on what you, the users, want to see or present:
- Show and tell – Your interesting formatting examples:
- The challenges
- The final output
- Useful extensions
- How would you do this with XSL-FO? / How would you do that with CSS?
- Why do we still need XSL-FO?
- What does it take to transition from XSL-FO to CSS?
- Is XSL-FO dead?
